National Cyber Security Alliance launches Web portal for 2010 National Cyber Security Awareness Month

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), based in Washington, DC, a public-private partnership focused on educating a digital citizenry to stay safe and secure online, launched its National Cyber Security Awareness Month Web portal with information on events, activities, promotions and educational materials to be used in preparation for the online safety month, which will be held in October.

Integrated security systems key to long-term growth, says IMS Research

Integrated systems will account for more than 70 percent of the total security systems installation and maintenance market in Europe by 2013, according to a new study from IMS Research, of Wellingborough, England. 

The research, which measured the potential market for integrated security systems, also identified integration with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and building automation systems as a key trend for the future.

Federal agencies increasingly purchase Q1 Labs’ QRadar SIEM solution

SAIC is given technology expertise contract by DoD

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), based in McLean, VA, announced on June 14 that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), to provide technical services to help secure mission critical data and strengthen sharing capabilities at DoD components and other government agencies.
