It gave the Muslim fundamentalists an opportunity to finally make their cause a global call for justice and unite the Muslims throughout the world into one unified group, the “Umma.”

Far too often, the concept of “homeland security” is understood through a filter designed to capture only the meaning imparted to it by 9/11. That is, “homeland security” is looked upon as a way to secure the homeland from terrorist attacks.

Day to day, most citizens do not think twice about the routine activities that their local law enforcement agencies complete in order to ensure their safety. When the U. S. Government needs help from the military, the armed forces must be fully trained and prepared for anything that might happen. One way to accomplish this is for the military to use lifelike simulations in its training.
