An Effective Approach to Continuous Monitoring Requirements under FISMA

Recently, the OMB established a task force to develop new metrics to measure the performance of information security at Federal Agencies. Among other things, the new metrics call for automated “real-time cybersecurity situational awareness” through a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution.
